Purpose:
Kentucky State University's financial aid program exists to help those students who have a strong academic potential and limited financial resources. The fundamental purpose is to provide financial assistance to students who would not be able to attend the university without such aid.
How To Apply:
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the application for financial aid at Kentucky State University. A completed FAFSA must be submitted to the federal processor requesting that the data be sent to Kentucky State University. Families should file the FAFSA in early January in order to ensure that the data is received by the federal processor no later than the March 1st deadline. FAFSA's are available at the high school guidance office or from the college financial aid office or online.

Special Programs:
All students admitted to Kentucky State University will be considered for academic achievement awards based on academic credentials on file with the admissions office. In some cases, additional information will be requested from the students being considered as finalists for these special awards.
Merit Based Scholarship
Full Presidential
Full tuition, room & board (must live on campus to receive the room/board portion of award) plus a $400 per semester book stipend.

Service County Scholarship:
Recipients of this scholarship must be:
- Residents of Anderson, Franklin, Henry, Owen, Scott, or Shelby counties (Kentucky residents only)
- First-time freshmen with a minimum high school GPA of 3.0
- Students who plan to enroll full-time at Kentucky State University
Each selected student will be awarded a full scholarship to cover tuition plus a $400 per semester book stipend.
